What is Nurse Coaching?
If you are familiar with the concept of Life Coaching, that
is the foundation of Nurse Coaching. The benefit of being a certified nurse
coach is the holistic and health aspect I can tie into your journey. We know
life is a complex weave of genetics along with our social, emotional, and
physical environment. As a nurse and graduate of psychology, I have over two
decades of direct application in life coaching skills.
The process of working with a nurse coach includes overcoming
your fears, upgrading beliefs in yourself and building a crystal clear vision
of what you want for your health and happiness. Then I help you take those tiny
daily actions to achieve those desired outcomes. There is NOTHING more important in this world
than YOUR health and well-being. Invest in that asset.
Being coached is different than therapy or counseling. Coaching
is future focused and guides you towards removing obstacles that hold you back
from living in to your best self. Of course, our past plays a major part in who
we are today, coaching focuses on drawing from past strengths and circumstances
to achieve future wins. Coaching is empowering and judgement free. I guide you
into knowing you have agency and choices, you don’t have be tossed about the
winds of life or settle for less than what you want.
There is a container of trust and friendliness to coaching.
Have you ever left a conversation with a great friend feeling drained and
unheard? The beauty of coaching is that it’s 100% focused on YOU! There is a
healing that comes from being deeply heard and seen. This is especially true in
a conversation where the other party isn’t offering advice or trying to trump
your story with their own. One of my greatest skills has always been deep and
authentic listening. As a nurse, I love hearing people’s stories and getting
know them as time unfolds. The other
beauty of nursing is offering+ options, during coaching I guide you towards
unveiling potential options for yourself. At the end of each session you will
walk away from the conversation feeling empowered.
